Academics PDF Print E-mail

Academics are a top priority at both the lower and upper schools at NCS. Together, both schools are beginning a collaborative effort that will result in the compilation of a curriculum unique to NCS. This is an arduous task to which the NCS Administration, Faculty, and Staff are completely committed. We want to be aware of what we teach, when it is taught, how often the material is repeated and the quality with which all of this is presented. The purpose of this effort is to provide the most appropriate instruction possible for each student. Being committed to this goal, NCS also features the L.I.F.E. Program, which is designed to assist students with learning differences. NCS is committed to monitoring the needs of each student, and will make adjustments in an ongoing effort to refine the academic standards on our campus. Academics are simply the first and best concern that we have in our desire to achieve excellence.

The curriculum of the upper school is as strong as ever. We offer up to 21 hours of Dual Enrollment credit through Lipscomb University, as well as A.P. Calculus and A.P. American History. This is a tremendous advantage to our students, giving them a jump-start in their college career.

With 75 percent of our faculty holding advanced degrees, we are constantly planning and implementing new academic programs and policies. Nashville Christian School is committed to preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges.
